Nearly New Sales - The local branch of the National Childbirth Trust will be holding a nearly new sale maternitywear, childrens wear (0-8yrs), toys and equipment in the Great Marlow School on the 19th May. See local press for details.

Friend's delivery - Mum Cathy Greco gave birth to eight and a half pound Alfie while she was visiting her friend Nicky Smith's home in Hawthorne Road, Woodburn Green. The contractions started and the birth was over in minutes while the pair were watching Family Fortunes on TV.
Dramatic rescue -A Loudwater mum pulled her three young children to safety after her car containing them slipped into the river while she was reversing near the Falcon pub in Wooburn Green.
Church opens - The new St Mary's in Wooburn Green has reopened to worshippers.

Steve Phelps writes : The Forum Players present Alice in Pantoland, a family Panto with lots of audience participation. Children can join the cast on stage to sing a song to their parents/grandparents.
Alice in Pantoland is presented at the Bourne End Community Centre on Saturday 12th January at 2.30; Saturday 20th January at 2.30 and 6.30 and Saturday 27th January at 2.30 and 6.30.

Bourne End robbery - A 14 year old girl was robbed by two youths in Cores End Road, Bourne End on Sunday January 7. The two snatched her handbag containing around £40. They made off in a small car.
Witness appeal - Police are appealing for witnesses after a seven year old was hit by a car by The Green just aftere 3pm on Sunday, December 17
Flood hope - Hopes are high that flooding that has affected parts of Wooburn Green, Bourne End and Loudwater will have disappeared by Christmas.
Church opens - The new St Mary's in Wooburn Green is due to open in mid-January.
Shelter hit - A youth shelter designed to give youngsters somewhere to congregate and cut down on vandalism has been vandalised twice in the first few weeks of operation.
Road closed - Havy rain is being blamed for the closure of Glory Mill Lane in Woodburn Green. A stream runs under the road and holes have appeared following the storms. The road will be closed until well into January/February
Office plan scrapped - The plan to build an eight storey office block on the site of the old Glory paper mill has been dropped after the proposed tenant lost interest.
Games rescuer - Henry Browne, from Treadaway Hill, Flackwell Heath has given his Ninetendo computer game to Wycombe Hospital children's ward after the original one was stolen.
Farewell Ken - Bourne End's Ken Morgan, who was chairman of Wooburn Parish Council for 14 years and who as a Wycombe councillor was a leading light in steering through the Wycombe Swan project, has died at the age of 77.
Tribute to Janet - Scores of Flackwell Heath people paid tribute to former Budgen supermarket manager Janet Cox who died in early November aged 54.
Successful fight - Residents have fought a successful campaign to have a zebra crossing installed in Straight Bit, Flackwell Heath.
New church - The Bishop of Buckingham will open the new St Mary's Church in Wooburn Green on December 12.
Millennium clock - Flackwell Heath's millennium memento - a clock outside the community centre - has been officially unveiled.
Footballer recovers - Flackwell Heath football player Matthew Cysteris, 29, recovering after a collision on the pitch which put him in intensive care for three days with a fractured skull.
Glory Mill plans - Wycombe Council will have to decide whether it wants to see homes or offices on the site of the Glory Paper Mill in Wooburn Green, the last paper mill in the area that closed in December. Plans have been put in for a housing complex or a single big office block on the site.
Pitch invasion - Travellers who illegally camped on Wooburn Green sports field for 24 hours left a trial of damage, included smashed goalposts, picnic tables and rubbish bins.
White Blackbird - Loudwater's White Blackbird pub, a former coaching in on the old London Road, has closed its doors for the last time and, if plans are approved, will become a restauarant.
New hall - A new state of the art fitness suite with cycling and rowing machines has opened at the Flackwell Heath campus of Amersham and Wycombe College.
Marina plan - A new multi million pound plan to transform Bourne End Marina is to be considered by Wycombe District Council. The scheme includes a café, workshops, chandlery, offices, houses and shower rooms, together with new piers and moorings.
Crime call - Police are opening the police station in the Parade, Bourne End for "crime surgeries" two hours a month to enable people to talk to their local police officer about their concerns. The move follows calls by councilors and residents for more action to combat escalating crime and burglaries.
